PointeCast Announces Public Beta of PowerPoint-to-Flash Authoring Tool Salt Lake City, Utah—February 28, 2005—PointeCast Corporation, a privately held developer of rapid e-learning tools, today announced the public beta program for PointeCast™ Publisher 4.0. PointeCast™ Publisher allows you to turn your PowerPoint® presentations into high-quality, interactive Flash™ presentations and online training in minutes with no Flash™ experience required. PointeCast™ Publisher enhances Microsoft® PowerPoint® by allowing you to record a voiceover or narrative for your PowerPoint® presentation. The narrative is synchronized with the presentation slides and animations that can be organized into sections. You may also insert interactive elements such as quizzes, surveys, and Flash movies. Your enhanced presentation is then converted to an interactive Flash presentation that maintains the fidelity of advanced PowerPoint® features including vector graphics, hyperlinks, animations, etc. You may then distribute your presentation efficiently via the web, an intranet, CD-ROM, or a SCORM-based learning management system such as PointeCast™ Portal.
